Cedar

I serve as a Solutions Architect, partnering with enterprise healthcare clients to integrate their platforms with Cedar Pay, Cedar Pre, and Cedar Cover. My role focuses on designing scalable, secure architectures that simplify the complexity of healthcare billing, streamline revenue cycle operations, and ensure seamless interoperability with EHRs and legacy systems. I lead technical implementation strategies, guide clients through data integration and API connectivity, and ensure our platform delivers measurable impact across the patient financial experience.

Midwest Dataworks was born

Nordic Consulting Partners

I worked as a Solutions Architect and Data Engineer focused on building scalable, cloud-native data infrastructure for enterprise healthcare clients. I designed and implemented robust pipelines across Azure and AWS ecosystems—including Databricks, ADF, and Spark—to streamline ingestion, transformation, and delivery across structured and unstructured data domains. I led architecture efforts to modernize legacy systems, driving cloud adoption and aligning data platforms with real business objectives. My work emphasized high-performance processing, automated data quality enforcement, and enterprise-grade governance. I also collaborated closely with analysts and stakeholders to ensure downstream analytics were fast, reliable, and actionable.

Tegria
I served as a Data Engineering Consultant, delivering cloud-native data solutions for healthcare organizations navigating modernization. I designed and built scalable pipelines across Azure Databricks, Synapse, and ADF to support high-volume, high-complexity workloads. My work spanned structured and unstructured data, integrating disparate sources into unified warehouses while enforcing strict data governance and validation protocols. I led client engagements end-to-end—from architecture to deployment—ensuring infrastructure aligned with business strategy and analytics needs. I also played a key role in cloud migrations, bringing systems from legacy environments to performant, secure, and maintainable platforms in Azure and AWS.

Health Catalyst
At Health Catalyst, I held dual roles as Senior Analytics Engineer and later as Senior Analytics Director, delivering end-to-end data solutions for healthcare clients. As Director, I led a team of consulting analysts through high-stakes analytics initiatives, translating client goals into actionable roadmaps and delivering insights through tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx. I brought deep expertise in Databricks, Spark, and Azure to modernize data platforms, while steering teams using SAFe Agile principles. Previously, as a Senior Analytics Engineer, I built and optimized scalable data pipelines, integrated diverse data sources, and enforced strict HIPAA compliance. I bridged the gap between engineering and analytics, consistently pushing technical boundaries while ensuring alignment with client outcomes.

Corewell Health
I advanced through four increasingly technical and strategic roles over five years—culminating as a Senior Application Developer focused on data engineering and application architecture. I led the development of secure, scalable data pipelines, integrating tools like Denodo, Snowflake, Azure, and Epic to deliver actionable insights across the organization. I applied design thinking to healthcare application development, mentored junior engineers, and enforced HIPAA-compliant data practices. Earlier, as a Data Engineer and Senior BI Analyst, I built and optimized pipelines, dashboards, and predictive models using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI—bridging gaps between data science and operations. My foundation as a Senior Database Specialist sharpened my skills in relational modeling, database performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration, laying the groundwork for my future leadership in healthcare data systems.

One of Joshua's key strengths is his ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. He worked closely with our data engineers, cloud engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project were aligned with our organizational goals. His proactive approach to problem-solving and his ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner were highly valued by the entire team.
In addition to his technical skills, Joshua's commitment to excellence and his strong work ethic were evident throughout the project. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that all deliverables were met on time and to the highest standards.

Josh is an amazing guy with very good technical skills. Had the opportunity to work with him on spinning up a new data platform using Databricks at St. Luke’s. His in-depth knowledge of the Databricks features, ETL concepts and patterns helped us in standing up the platform quickly and with data transformation pipelines comprising of high quality code that would require very little maintenance going forward.

Josh is one of those individuals who would immediately make a positive impact at any organization. If I were to start a company - any kind of company - I would try to make Josh my first hire because I am yet to come across a time where we had a problem that Josh wasn't able to provide multiple potential solutions for.

He's so well organized, has fantastic technical skills, learns very quickly, and is one of the most driven people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I've also learned so much thanks to Josh's healthcare industry knowledge. I would highly endorse Josh for any role.
